HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008 !!!

Holiday Season is here already... Well, I know, I am a bit late in writing about it ... but here I am finally.

This holiday season is filled with office work, which is very unfortunate. Didn't get any time to do thing that I planned to do. I planned to buy something for every one in office and a gift for Farokh too... But it ended up, I needed to work over the weekend leading towards the Christmas day. I brought Dylan with me to the office. I just missed seeing him during weekend. The office air-cond is not functioning well. So it was very bad feeling toward the end of the day. I think Dylan also feel the same too.

We did went up to Genting Highland. But it is too crowded and there is no park outside for us to relax. So I rated the trip as not worthwhile and it made me want to think if next time I will ever go up again. Luckily I didn't bring Ruth's family up there last time. =P

New Year 2008 is just next week. Don't know if I can make any thing happen or no...
Well, I like to join some countdown in the town but don't know how to handle little Dylan :)

Or just drive out and see the fire work from far ? Well.... we shall see !!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE OUT THERE !!

huhhh ....

Dylan is starting to get curious and wanting confirmation of what he see and learnt. He will use 'huhhhh....' to get affirmation. Although some time I don't quite understand what he is trying to say., I will just say 'yes'. Hopefully I said 'yes' to the correct thing also. =)

Trying to get him to try out every thing that interest him is a way to get him to explore the world around him. Too bad that now his world is a lot confine to the house only. Only weekend he will get the chance to out with me. But that is only to the shopping mall....
Was thinking of bringing him to the zoo one of the weekend to see some real animals....

Now he can repeat many words after me. Like yesterday he wanted to play with umbrella. So I teach him how to pronounce 'umbrella' both in English and Mandarin. Dunno if today he will remember or no ...

Last nite he was murmuring taxi in his dream and later woke up crying for milk =)....
I guess he is too boring staying at nanny house oredy whole day long. Today he will have a long day there as we have a company dinner at La Ramla.... Hope he won't be missing us :P

Sickly Us

We found ourselves catching cold from somewhere. So the days following Ruth's departure were spent making ourselves well. One day I just fall asleep on the couch. Dylan also didn't hv good appetite for lunch.
These few days, Dylan also feel not so energetic and want to oik-oik earlier than usual. Even in the last Tick-Tock-Beat class, he didn't move as much as he used to be. Just stand at his colour pad observing what Ms Lee is doing.

The next class will be starting at 9am as Ms Lau said they have a christmas concert at 10:30 am. I hope dylan is well enough to get up early and finish his milk at least in time for the class. :)

Great Get Together

Ruth was here last week from Sun 25th Nov till Wed 28 Nov 07. I took some leave to spend time together with her family. I had a great pleasure to take care of LL as when she permitted. LL is a fussy eater. I was wondering how she can grow healthly :) I guess kid has naturally instinct to survive. She will ask for food whenever we were eating :) But so far she were eating outside food more than home cook food.

Dylan had a great time competing with his cousin sister. He cannot tolerate her taking his toys. They will chase after each other to get thing back :) Too bad I didn't hv the camera ready to capture the funny scene.

Ruth's family woke up late every day. Initially I thought of having breakfast with them at the shophouses there every day. Later I see that is not possible. Michael will buy whatever was for breakfast as a late supper :) He was really a good appetite to eat a lot of food at one time. Bob said it was understandable as Malaysia food can hardly be found in the States.

Finally we said good bye to them on Wednesday nite. Lucikily they found their PR card in the airport. That was a real scare. On the way to pick up Farokh from the train station, my mind was so tensed becoz of this. I prayed to God that every thing will be ok at the end, even if they really cannot find their Green Card, that the immigresen officer will let them fly to US and that they will get the documents from their respective bosses. I guessed God hear my prayer then .... Tks God...

I wish we have a longer time together. Just notice that me and Ruth doesn't have a picture together .... Guess we were too busy minding the kids ...

Life is full of UPs and DOWNs

Dylan is not a very attentive kid. In the last TTB class, he was fascinated with the hoo-la-hop that was given out to every one in the class. He started to only want to play with it his way and discrupt the class. Ms Lee finally took his hoo-la-hop away. :( sign... I hope his manner and attention span can be improved. Read some article on ADHD kids who is hyperactive. I hope he doesn't fall into that category. Some articles says fish liver oil that has DHA will help... well I always forgot to feed him that. Guess I will need to be persistant from now on.

Meal time is extremely stress ful for me. Don't know if he didn't like the food or just plain stubborn. He always keep food in his mouth without chewing it. That has make me lose temper. His meal time dragged like 3 hours. So the half day of the sunday was gone oredy .... ahhhhhhhhh...........

Yesterday after shower, he pull down the pillow from the bed to the mattress on the floor. Then he lied on the tummy and said want to see fish :) Well, that fish in Yahoo IMenvironment that shows up when I was chatting to hywong28 id the nite before. :)

First Tick Tock Beats Class

Last Saturday(10 Nov 2007), Dylan went for his first Tick Tock Beats Class. He was placed in Ms Lee class. He was all excited going to Tick Tock Beats centre when we reached there. Altho I had a rough time asking him to finish his breakfast so that we can be there on time for 9:30 am class. =)

He was at first can follow what Ms Lee instructed to do with her music. He still didn't understand what is 'cross-leg' and had his leg stretch out all the time. Ms Lee praised him when he followed what she did. Only until playing tricks with soft ball that he was finally losing some attention. Instead of sitting down doing what teacher was doing, he wanted to kick the ball =) He liked the part when asked to sleep on the floor and a triangle bell is 'ding' at his ears. :)

Tick Tock Beats class is once a week and the fee is paid per term which consists of 3 months. Initial fee is RM 232 + RM 30 + RM 40 = RM302. There are drama class and piano lessons for older kids.

Ms Lee made some comments on Dylan behaviour. She described him as a bright kid who can pick thing up faster than any kids. However, he doesn't have enough patient. So I may require to accompany in him the class to assert some controls over him. The other kids who is 1 month older than Dylan however has a opposite behaviour than Dylan. In his case, his mother may not necessary have to accompany him in future class.

Well, we shall see again how he behaves in subsequent class !!

Train Toy Obsession - REALLY!!

Yesterday during lunch time, me and Farokh went to Isetan in KLCC and bought another set of Tomy Toy Train - Tomy and the Bertie for Dylan. Our colleague was joking if it is for Farokh to play or is for Dylan. Farokh told his colleague, he will have to ask permission from Dylan if he can play with his toy or not. hahahaa..

We were trying to speculate what will be his reaction when he saws his new train. The new set has compartment that was to hook to the engine. Now his train has 2 compartment. While Farokh was busy settiing up the new set, Dylan was happily engaged with the new train on the old track.

Once the tracks were setup, oh my, he was crazily obcessed with controlling the track. When the bed time came - 11:30 PM oredy... (coz I was catching up with my series ;P) , he still doesn't want to switch off the engine. I hv to force him to shut it down.

During the nite, I guess he was dreaming of the train too !!! Coz he wake up crying... supposingly don't want to be parted with his train. Then this morning, the first words he mention when he opened his eyes was 'train ah' then straight away crawled down the bed to go downstair in order to continue playing with his train. :) ..... Luckily he was obedient when i told him that he can play with it when he came back tonite :) And after saying bye-bye with his train, I sent him to the nanny's house :) ...

Obsessed With Train Toy??

Ah.. I am thinking if I am the one obsessed with Dylan's toy. The latest toy collection is Tomy train set. Dylan like the train set altho he doesn't really know how to play.
I went ahead also to buy the additional track for it. Too bad one of the track set has 2 tracks instead of 1 track. Any how, it still can be used. Just that the tracks are not complete yet for the train to run on without falling off the track :)

Now should I go ahead to complete the track??? I just felt it is not complete yet ....

Just hope that Dylan will be grown up enough to play with the train sensibly.... :)

joy ride

Yesterday I brought Dylan to Bukit Jalil park near vista komanwel where I lived many years ago. Once he was on the jogging track, he was running like a adult. I should have bring him to jogging more often. Too bad last few days it was always raining in the evening. So I can only bring him to shopping mall.

I brought him to ride on the LRT after the jogging session. He was very happy sitting in the train. We just ride to Chan Saw Lin station and then turn back. On the way back, he wanted to exit whenever the door was opened :) hahaha....

Next I bring him to carrefour to buy something. He was happy to ride in the buggy that was attached to the shopping cart and didn't want to leave it.

I guess he had a fun day out....

Everyone is Nai Nai

Nowaday Dylan called every one 'Nai Nai'. His nanny said he is following her granddaughter calling her using this name. We think he doesn't know what does Nai Nai means. For him it is just a way to get intended person's attention to his request.

I would try to corrent him when he called me Nai Nai. Ask him to say Mummy. Sometime he get it with a not so perfect pronounciation - muyi.... He can call his daddy quite correctly with Daddy though... That's because I always tell him Daddy this, Daddy that. There is no one to tell him mummy this mummy that... so mummy to him is non-existant.

He can call cats with 'ngiao' but with Mimi I specifically ask him to call her Mimi. :) By the way, I took shower for Mimi yesterday after 1 year :) hahahaha....

He pronounce uncle as unerrr.... car as errr.... can't pronounce well the R sound....

He pronounce 'chong liang' (shower) with different tone :)

Need a Break

Recently, I was quite tired of working life. It is kind of routine. But really still have to work la... to earn some living for old age retirement :).

But again, I think I need to take vacation. And this project that I am doing now seem like non-ending. So I can't predict when I can take leave. And even I take leave, not sure where should I visit. I was thinking of Miri, to spend some time with his family and the kids. Or, going to Memphis to visit my sister there seem I haven't visited her since she move to their new home.

As far as Las Vegas is concern, I think I will pass that :) Coz for me it is just a gambling city that only is beautiful when the nite come. While in Memphis, may be this time I spend more time exploring the city ? :) Of coz, not forgettting Miri, since Sandra mentioned she prefer to stay in Miri than in Sibu. So I guess Miri will have its share of charm.

Hari Raya is around the corner, just around this coming weekend. Didn't have plan so far where to go yet. My mind cannot rest well with the office work lingering around ;( But nowaday, I am better in putting thing down when necessary. That will be a little bit less stressful huh... *sign*...

Share Blanket Together

Yesterday afternoon during nap time, as usual I giveDylan a bottle of water to help his lunch digestion which he took in his bed with blanket on. Later when he was ready to sleep he woke up and then doing something to his blanket so that some part of his blanket is covering me.Not too much, may be only 2% :) As he turned over to sleep, I re-adjust his blanket so that he is properly cover at the body half down. He turned to look my site and started crying. I tot the blanket didn't cover his leg good enough, so I re-adjusted it again. He didn't seem to like it so he woke up again and do his blanket again. Then again turned over to sleep. I do the re-adjustment again and then he noticed it and start crying. It repeated many times. Then I finally got it that he want to share the blanket with me ;) Only then he didn't make any fuss. :) hahahaha....

Nowaday, he will wake me up by force-opening my eyelid and kissed me several time on my cheek :) aiyoh.... so sleepy also hv to wake up lo .... I measured him and he grow 1 inch taller then last measurement. He is growing fast. His appetite seem to be bigger after recovered from the food-poisoning :)

Yesterday evening, I brought him to Jusco as usual for some out of the house atmosphere. When I was still wondering whether need to buy the extra blanket and also doubting the quality of the blankets, he spot the children fun centre again and begged me to bring him there. I have to use this opportunity to train him to be patient. He is to wait until I finish my shopping and queue and paid for the items. Surprisingly he was quite agreeable with what I said. He helped to carry the little tubler ware and queue at the cashier counter. Later we had dinner at McDonald to have his favorite Mc Nugget and Fries. Then only I brought him to the playground. As usual he likes to ride on Merry Go Round several times.

At least now he can listen to instruction not to go in to the escalator by him self. Of course I have to be firmed to him .... So it is like very stern mother's voice in the shopping mall talking to his son ;) ... well, no choice .....

Education - thinking ahead

Monday
Was chatting with Sandra on Skype this morning. She are busy most of the days now. Siet is opening up a hardware trading shop. She is helping up with all the paper works. Sometime she took leave to look after thing regarding the new shop.

We talk about PC connection to the internet at her home. She wanted to have it as well as one in Siet's office. I cautious her on the kids additive to PC game. Only I learnt she has quite some house rule for the kids. No TV from Mon-Fri. Only on weekend :) No wonder her kids academic result is so good :) Strict mummy... following mother's style??? Remember that as we were small, we used to peek the TV from the door's key hole or half way from the stair case. ... hahaha ... She also coached her kids homework. I was worried if I can achieve that the next time with Dylan. May be Dylan will be like most of the city kid being sent to tution centre half of the day which I don'tquite like the idea. In my opinion, those tuition centre are scam to cheat poor parent hard earn money with no guarantee result or cheated result... A lot of scam has been reported lately on exam paper leak in tuition centre. I was wondering how ? And it is such a bad thing to happen. What happen to the real education ... That's why I still prefer to send Dylan to be educated oversea....

Getting Better

After almost a week, Dylan is finally recovered from the food poisoning. And his appetite is picking up. Only once in a while, he is pretending to vomit to avoid me putting more food to his mouth. :) Nanny also mentioned that he will exclaim if the movie scene had people vomitting :).... He made sound like 'errr, errr' to tell u he want to vomit but actually he is not.

I guess he must have lost at least 3 kg from the food poisoning. His waistline is obviously smaller and his chest size from the backview also seemingly narrower. When he raise his hand, can see spare ribs :)

Last Friday at the company's hosted buffet dinner for CIMB group's staff, I also didn't dare to run for the foods especially the oyster. Scared my tummy cannot take it. But I can't resist the sushi fresh salmon's meat :) I ate them with lot of ginger though.... :)

Food Poisoning

Last Friday, we went out for a dinner in Pizza Hut at Aeon Cheras Selatan. Later that nite, Dylan had trouble sleeping well. The next morning, he started to vomit for every thing that he ate. As for myself, I only started on Sunday afternoon, after I spent 3 hours doing flattenning to my hair. I had suspected that the salad bar food was not so clean. Poor Dylan until now still don't have much appetite to eat a good course of meal. Now even can see his spare ribs :(
I hoped he will get well soon within this week.

Yesterday was Farokh's birthday. We didn't celebrate much. Coz he didn't fancy any celebration as usual. I just cooked some dinner. Also, it was Mid Autumn Festival on the same days. We did put up some lantern last Saturday and took some pictures with them hanging on the tree.

Exercise Together

Sunday 16 Sept 2007
We woke up in the evening at around 6pm. Daddy didn't like the idea of driving of the Bukit Jalil park. He wants to do his jogging nearby. So me and dylan also wear our exercise gear and run along side with Farokh. That little fellow can really run. I just scare he will fell down. His knee oredy has 2 bruise mark. I don't want to add another one those knees. Luckily he is quite ok today, didn't fell down once. Later we played ball outside the gate.

Amir like to stay in his room all the time. I am not sure if it is becoz dylan was disturbing him while he is reading downstair or what. But I think he like Dylan to disturb him once in a while, coz feel too lonely kuah.... I wish his school course starts soon, so that he can go out and breath some air sometime....

talking boy

Did I mention that the little fellow is starting to talk to u? I obviously had not. Well, in recent weeks he has been talking more in human language instead of baby talk. He said words like 'nana' which means banana, 'tain' mean trains,'ori' mean lori, 'sin-sin' means stars, 'heio' mean hello !! When he said 'heio', it is really loud :) He can say daddy quite accurately but not too much mentioning mummy of which he pronouces it as 'mury'.....

I sent him to one trial session of Tick Tock Beats class last saturday where the teachers uses music to teach the kids to listen to simple instruction and be able to concentrate for at least 45 minutes. Well, he was running around wanted to try out new toys around ;) He only follow instruction of those insterest him like jumping, shaking toys to make loud noise.

I bought him a train with rail road yesterday and now he is busy with the trains. The nanny advise me not to buy him toys as they have store up some old toys and had not had the time to sort them out. But later she mentions well, u hv to clean up the toys after he done playing with it. Well, so I don't know if she will let Dylan play or not at the end .... *sign*

Visitors from Iran

We have new visitors from Iran since last Saturday. They are Amir Abdanan and his mother, Vida. Amir is coming here to study while awaiting for is US immigration interview arrangement to be transfer to Abu Dhabi.

Vida had gone back to Iran yesterday after helping her son to do course registration and trust Farokh with Amir's expense money. Amir will stay with us until his school starts in Bukit Jalil TPM, when he will stay in the hostel.

Amir mentioned that Malaysia is better than Armenia, where he had stayed for 5 months before his father decided to 'deport' him to Malaysia.

Dylan was sticking well with them after only 1 days with them. Last nite he was disturbing Amir when he was trying to read his story book.

Missing In Action

Hey, I am back again. After missing from action for a few months. I think that was since after I left Canada on the 29th Jan 2007. I am not sure of the reason that I stop writing. May be I was too busy getting thing to the way I want again. Or trying to bring back every piece of my life that was disconnected at this part of the world.

Well, so far, I think I have accomplished that I think. But once in a while I will still think what is going to happen if I am still in Canada. May be I have found a job already. Farokh will have a job too. And Dylan is in some day care playing with other kids. Sometimes, I will think about what is the weather like in Canada now. I get this information from Alex Guo when he show up online in Skype. can't blame myself from thinking about that because that is what I want to see at the first place when decided to move there at the first place. Guess this dream will only be fullfilled when I retire from my job; when Dylan is to study in North America, not necessary in Canada, may be in US, which I think is a better place to live. More roomy country and warmer place :)

Well, as u can see, I am still dreaming about going there some days. Alex Guo still nagging about when we will go back again. He will offer transport from the airport and accomodation... hahahah... that is very nice of him. According to him, he life is great there. Also, David is going to travel with 2 girls !! Good for him .... hahaha... I guess he is too busy now to reply email to me ... Now I am waiting if he is going to get married or not... That's one of the thing that he wants to achieve too !!! hahahaha....

Well, u will see me more here .... More writing in English instead of Mandarin. hahahaha....
